How it works
A job, start to finish
Four steps, and I do all of them. Nobody else will call you, and nobody else will show up.

1. You send a photo
Text it with a line about what's wrong, the room, and roughly when the house was built.

2. I answer with hours
A range and the materials I expect to buy. If a photo isn't enough, I stop by for a quick look.

3. I come and do the work
I arrive in the window we agreed on, put down floor covers and do the work. I call you before I go past the range.

4. You see it, then pay
I clean up, walk you through what I did, and send an itemized invoice with the hours and the receipts.
Before I come
What to have ready
Clear the spot
A path to the work and a couple of feet around it. Move small furniture; I'll cover the floor.
Your parts
Anything you bought: the lockset, the shelf, the bracket. Keep the box and the instructions.
A list
If there's more than one thing, write them all down. It's cheaper to do five in one visit than five in five.
The year
Roughly when the house was built. It decides what I can safely sand, scrape or cut.
Questions
Questions about the visit
Can I stay home while you work?
Most people do. I lay down floor covers, keep the dust to one room and vacuum before I leave.
What if something I fixed fails?
Call me. If my work is the cause, I come back and fix it at no charge. If the cause is the house, I tell you what I found.
What if I need to cancel?
Tell me by the evening before and there's no charge. I do the same for you: if I have to cancel, I call that evening.
How do I pay?
When the work is done and you've seen it. I send an itemized invoice by text or email, with the hours and the receipts.
Ready to start?
Text a photo and a line about the job. I'll answer with the hours I expect.
